Which I think is a rather good excuse. *wink* I've been running around lately, went to Southern Adventist University last weekend. Very inspirational. I love being around people who feel the same way I do about God, especially when they are your age. You feel a sense of comfort. Anyways. How has everyone been?? I am planning on a new album. Not Gospel Lyricism this time, mainly Poetry, and Singing. Haven't quite got the title yet, but it will be based on the Life of Christ. Already started on in. Just trying to put the pieces together. Sowwee. Album Of The Month (October)

YEAH YEAH YEAH. I know I've been gone for too long. I'm sorry, it wasn't on purpose, school seems to get more and more harder the further you get into the semester. And if I'm trying to graduate next year that HAS to be my prime focus. But I'm here now. I'm sad to announce that there won't be the Song of the Day anymore. I mean I kinda running out of artists, because I don't like reusing artist. HOWEVER There will be a Song of the Week now. But yeah how has everybody been? I kno I only have like 5 followers but theres a few other people who check the site regularly. I'm sorry I haven't gotten the rest of my albums up yet and the rest of my last album on youtube. Expect it sometime in November tho. You have my word. =). Really, the only reason it isn't up yet is because my computer is the only one that has all of my music on it, and I don't have the internet on my computer right now because we just finished moving stuff around and all that good stuff. Long story! But yeah. To say sorry for my few weeks of absence, Just get Fred Hammond's ENTIRE new album, "Love Unstoppable" as your song(s) of the day for the last few weeks. I was waiting for a rather special day to make this song, Song Of The Day. Well today is my "friend's" birthday. lol. She's my ex, but its not secret that I'm trying to win her heart back, but naturally she's making me wait. I mean we are both in school now anyways, about to graduate so this probably wouldn't be the best time to have a relationship anyways but yea. Jacob waited 14 years for his heart's desire. This is a little more old school, for me at least. I actually heard the Ruben Studdard version first, but when I was lookin for the video for this song I came across the older version which I haven't heard very often. So yea. SORRY! I know I missed yesterday, but school is gettin tougher and tougher, and the internet in my room is really slow, but no excuses. We won't be missing anymore days. This is the first song I ever performed like for a contest. I did it acapella when i was 10 and got the Silver medal. I thought I should have one Gold but we wont go into that. lol. Happy Sabbath!!!!!!!! This song is so simple yet, so powerful. I remember the first time I sang this song, it was in a choir setting. And they had combined alot of choirs from different churches into one choir so you can imagine how loud we were. Anyways, the time when we sang that song for real, like at the actual concert, my goodness. Even at practice folks were crying. The first song I truly almost cried to when I sang to it. This is def my favorite Yolanda Adams. But next would have to be Mountain High, Valley Low. That album always reminds me of my dead cousin. Elbert Luther "Sonny" Harris III. RIP. He died when he was 10, i was 12. My closest male cousin. That album helped me get thru it. Real talk. But yeah, Mrs. Adams gets alot of hate i'm still unsure why, but she is my girl through and through. Song Of The Day: Let Us Worship Him - Yolanda Adams.

Today's Surprises

Ok so if you look down alittle bit, you see that I was talkin about Mary Mary in another blog. Now if God In Me isn't bad enough, they now have a remix out. With Ne-Y0. I'm not gone say who brought this to my attention and I really don't feel like elaborating on how I feel about this because its becoming redundant plus I'll be bloggin for hours. lol. But I just wanna know how you feel about it. I'll post the link of the song so you can hear it. They said that this song was on V-103. Which makes sense cuz I can't tell that this a gospel song. Jus cuz it has "God" in it doesn't mean its a gospel song, i.e. Jesus Walks. But thats enough from me. Tell me what you think.

Mary Mary

Now I kno my song of the day is by Mary Mary. And some of you may know I'm not the biggest Mary Mary fan anymore so let me explain myself. I still love them to the death. But TO ME it seems like they've gone to commercial. Like I can't tell the difference between their music and another secular artist's music. Not just beats, but lyrics as well. To me if your lyrics just happen to have God's name but you can't hardly tell the song is giving praise to him whats the point? The Bible says "We are to be IN the world, not OF the world." Again, I'm not trying to bash anybody. Its just I don't want people to ever get confused about MY GOAL. Which is why I reiterate this fact so many times. Now Mary Mary's first two albums were off the chain. I still bump them constantly. Its this last one I'm not too crazy about, like with the autotune and all that. It jus seems too commercial for me. But thats my personal opinion. Sorry if I've hurt any feelings, but I thought the point of a blog is to speak your mind.

Yesterday's Adventures

So I play basketball on the regular. And last night I landed on my foot wrong. I don't think the bone is broken but its definitely more than just a sprain, but because I am so stubborn I'm sure i'll be on it again sooner than I should be. lol. Other news is taht as i was walking and talking with God yesterday and listening to my music I figured the only way I can get my music out there is by doing concerts. So I'm buying a bunch of blanks and giving them out to like choir directors and what not in the Atlanta area. So pray for me, that I can have the courage to approach these people with confidence.
